Drill Blocks for Dumpling Squishy Zones

Leave a vacuumed dirt face. Later walls are the drop table your drill is trying to unlock.

Zones

The mine in Drill Blocks for Dumpling Squishy is not one infinite wall. It is a pit with faces, and those faces are not equal. Early cubes are blocky dirt and grass so a new player can break something with the starter bit. Later walls exist to soak the drill upgrades you buy with plot cash. If you keep reclearing the tutorial face after it is a hole, you are rolling the leftover table in a five-player traffic jam. This page is when to leave. Exact zone names, gate prices, and biome labels live on the client and change with updates. We describe the pattern, not a fake map.

The early dirt pit

You spawn next to a grass-and-dirt excavation. Cubes are large, close, and easy to see. That is the onboarding zone. It exists so the first-hour loop on Getting Started can finish: drill, pick up, place, collect. Stay here while the starter bit still struggles. Leave when the cubes vanish in a second and the only things left are other avatars standing in a crater.

A cleared wall is not a farm. It has no cubes, which means it has no rolls. People stay because it is close to the plots and because the first Secret thumbnail they saw was probably composited against dirt. Proximity is not a drop table. Walk around the pit until you see thickness — a face that still has depth — and put the bit there.

Later walls are the point of the shop

Later faces are denser, darker, or simply further from spawn. They take longer to break on purpose. That extra time is the filter. A bit that cannot chip them is not “unlucky.” It is under-levelled. Buy power until the cubes flake, then spend your session on that face instead of commuting back to dirt because it feels safe.

Higher rarities cluster on later tables in this genre. The rare squishies chase is mostly a zone chase wearing a luck costume. Official art can show a Secret Galaxy Squishy at $67.93M/s against a starry backdrop. The backdrop is a hint: the promotional blob is not the mascot of the tutorial pit. You still will not guarantee it by standing in the new zone. You will only get permission to roll whatever table that zone uses.

Do not farm a cleared wall

Signs you should move:

  • You are looking at sky or at a floor where cubes used to be.
  • Two or more players are already occupying the last voxel.
  • Every pickup in the last several minutes was a common you would not place.
  • Your drill upgrade did not change the time-to-break because there is nothing left to break.

Signs you should stay:

  • The face still has depth.
  • You are the only bit on it.
  • Drops are at least matching your weakest pad.
  • A later zone is still locked and this is the hardest face you can chip.

Five-player contention

Servers cap at five. That number is small, which means you will always see the other miners, and it is large enough that one popular screenshot can stack four people on the same dirt face. Contention looks like this: everyone lands, everyone walks to the nearest wall, everyone deletes it, everyone stands in the hole hoping a Secret falls out of the sky. Meanwhile a side face still has a full layer of cubes.

Etiquette is mechanical, not moral. If a voxel already has a bit in it, pick another voxel. If a blob pops on someone else’s cube, let them pick it up unless the client assigns it to you. If a later zone has a one-person-wide tunnel, do not body-block the only path back to the plots.

Contention also decides your plot setup. Put generators on a sweep you can collect without crossing the crowded pit. A long detour through four avatars is how cash sits uncollected while you argue about a wall. Collect, then mine. Do not mine through someone else’s pad.

Unlock, then commit

Unlocking a later zone is usually a cash gate, a drill-tier gate, or a rebirth gate. Pay the gate, walk in, and stay for a full cash cycle. Peeking at the new wall, dying to the cubes, and running back to dirt teaches you nothing. If the new cubes ignore you, you prepaid a wall you cannot use — that is a drill power miss, not a zone miss.

Commit means: empty pads filled, collect path known, bit aimed at thickness, no sightseeing in the tutorial crater. Rank whatever you pull on the tier list after it is placed. A Secret tag you dropped in the pit because you wanted to screenshot the biome is not a Secret tag you own.

The early pit is a classroom. Later walls are the course. Leave the classroom when the cubes are gone, when five people are sharing a hole, or when the shop is selling a door you can finally afford. The next time you catch yourself drilling air, stop. Air is not a zone. Find thickness, or find the gate that leads to some.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers players ask after every drill session.

What is the first zone?

A blocky dirt-and-grass pit next to the plots. Use it to finish Getting Started, then leave once the cubes vanish in a second.

Why is farming a cleared wall a mistake?

No cubes means no rolls. Move to thickness or to a later face your bit can chip. Drill power is how you unlock that face.

How do later zones unlock?

Usually cash, a stronger drill, or a rebirth the client actually shows. Confirm the gate in-game. Do not use a fan-made name that is not on the HUD.

How do five players change a zone?

Popular faces get vacuumed. Drill a wall that still has blocks and keep your collect path short with plot setup.

Should I chase Galaxy on the starter dirt?

No. The promotional Secret Galaxy Squishy is a high-rarity billboard. Later tables are the real chase — see rare squishies and the tier list.
